Dollie's Soup & Salad

The food was great. I was impressed by the service and their attention to detail. One of the owners children our server and you could tell they have taken great pride in their establishment. They were fans of Sweet Tomatoes in it's day but have taken the concept and made it their own. Dollie's Soup and Salad is better than the concept it was based on and they have done a heck of a job. The salad bar had plenty of great options, good ranch, great clam chowder and the FRESH and WARM blueberry muffin was the best I have had in a long while. You will love it. One price and everything is yours. Look forward to coming back.

Ok. Probably, most people have had a great experience here, but it just happened to me that day, and maybe it is one in a million incident. Arugula was not fresh. My son had a bug on his black olives, and flies were inside the lettuce station, and my seat was not clean. The waitress took the food to show to her manager and I was expecting him to come and talk to us, but he didn't. They just gave me a complementary lunch for my son. I was not looking for a free dinner, I was expecting the manager to come just to talk to us, and it has a better impact than a complementary meal for my son. Anyhow, this probably was one in a million incident as their facilities look very clean.

Let me start by saying that I rate this place lower than my wife and girls would rate it. You can tell by the patrons at lunch that their target audience is women and older people. The salad bar is good and has a lot of selections. They have some nice premade salads that are pretty good. They have a good selection of soups. My wife really liked the cream of mushroom. The chicken noodle had lots of chicken but not much flavor. My daughter liked the ice cream bar. Overall the food is okay but a little bland. If you love soup and salad places, you'll probably like it.

Same location as Sweet Tomatoes in Sandy, UT. It was delicious! I am beyond happy that we have a great healthy option for soup and salad again. Everything is made from scratch with the best flavor. I felt nostalgic as I entered. The food and service was great. Our server was super nice and kind. He said it was his first night, but he was great. At the end I asked a person if he could make the claim chowder not spicy. I found out he was the owner. We took a selfie and he was very patient and sweet listening to my feedback. I told him how excited I was to have an option again. Today was the opening day and it was packed full! You could see how happy people were with this option. You get your tray and the plate and start with the salad bar. You are taken to your seat where you pay. You get up, you can choose the drink you want which is included, and also get soups, breads, pasta and dessert. Yummy! I totally recommend it and know it will just get better as they figure everything out. Congratulations and much success! Count on me with whatever I can help for you to succeed! I was mildly disappointed with my experience here today. I think my expectations were too high going in. The salad bar wasn't too impressive, but the soup bar was good. And the service was quite good as well. My biggest problem was the lack of meat here. I'd like to see them include a variety of meat on the salad bar. Overall, if you're a fan of a vegetarian type meal, then this is the place for you.

It was so fun to see this place open again. We were very excited to go. It was resurrected from Sweet Tomatoes and looks exactly the same. Same food, same tables, same carpet. We visited this place a lot in the past. I was disappointed to see the new restaurant has even a little less options that what the previous offered, but they are charging double the price. At the price point they are at, I would expect at least some proteins on the salad line and more offerings for desert or others. I am very disappointed and hope to see some changes for us to justify the price. Clearly it can not be as low as it use to be, as that is why I believe it went under.
